Hi. I'm Cheryl.
Specialist Support for Work Stress, Work Anxiety & Burnout in High-Functioning Women
I work with high-functioning women navigating work stress, burnout in women, stress and anxiety — women who are holding it together on the outside and running on fumes underneath. Women who are capable, competent, and privately exhausted. Women who know something needs to change — they just haven't had a moment to figure out what, or how, or whether they're allowed to stop long enough to find out.
This is that moment. You've found the right place.
Who I Work With
High-Functioning Women and Work-Related Stress: You Look Fine. That's Exactly the Problem.
The women I work with don't usually look like they're struggling. They show up, they deliver, they manage. They answer the emails, hold the meetings, remember everyone else's needs, and somewhere in between all of that — work anxiety and burnout start to creep in, quietly pulling them away from themselves.
They're not falling apart. They're just tired in a way that sleep doesn't fix. Anxious in a way that's hard to explain to someone who's never felt it. Stretched thin by work, by responsibility, by the relentless pressure to keep functioning and look fine while doing it.
If that sounds familiar, you're in the right place. And no, you don't need to be in crisis to deserve support.
The woman I work with is often:
  • Carrying too much for too long
  • Functioning well — privately overwhelmed
  • Under sustained work-related stress
  • Tired of advice that doesn't account for real life
  • Needing practical support, not fluffy reassurance
  • Quietly wondering if this is just how it is now
How I Work
Recovering from Work Stress and Burnout: Calm First. Strategy Second. Always in That Order.
My approach to work stress and work anxiety is grounded in one core principle: you cannot think clearly, make good decisions, or move forward steadily when your nervous system is in survival mode. So we start there — with safety, with steadiness, with getting you out of the red before we try to plan anything.
Safety Before Strategy
We work at your pace, without pressure or performance. Your nervous system leads. Everything else follows.
Reality First
No bypassing, no toxic positivity. We look honestly at what's actually happening with your work stress and work with that.
Practical Progress
Small, usable steps that fit into your actual life — not dramatic overhauls that require a version of you that doesn't exist yet.
Structure Without Pressure
Clarity and direction, without the expectation that you arrive already sorted. You don't need to perform progress here.
My Approach
Support for Work Anxiety and Stress — What This Is and What It Isn't
There's a lot of wellbeing content out there about work-related stress and burnout in women. Some of it is genuinely useful. A lot of it adds to the overwhelm. I want to be clear about what you're getting here, because clarity is part of the work.
What you won't find here
Generic wellbeing advice that could apply to anyone
Pressure dressed up as personal growth
Dramatic healing theatre or transformation promises
Motivational fluff that evaporates by Tuesday
Shame as a method — ever
What you will find here
Coaching, hypnotherapy, and psychotherapy-informed support
Nervous-system-aware practice that meets you where you are
Emotional honesty without drama or disclosure pressure
Real-world practicality — built for busy, overloaded lives
A calm, clear-eyed approach that doesn't confuse intensity with healing
A Bit About Me
I Know Work Stress and Burnout From the Inside
I'm not going to give you a dramatic origin story. But I will say this: I understand burnout in women, and I understand the mask of success. I know what it's like to be the person who holds it together — at work, at home, in every room — while privately wondering how long you can keep that up before something gives.
I've lived inside anxiety and burnout. I've understood the particular exhaustion of looking completely functional while feeling anything but. And I've learned — slowly, honestly, through proper training and real experience — that complicated doesn't heal people. It just gives them another thing to fail at.
What actually helps is simpler than most of us expect. Steadier. Quieter. Less impressive-looking — and genuinely more useful. That's what I've built my work around.
My Training & Background
Qualified Support for Work Stress, Anxiety, and Burnout
My practice draws on formal training across coaching, clinical hypnotherapy, and psychotherapy-informed approaches. That combination isn't accidental — it means I can work with you on the practical level (what to do, how to think about it), the emotional level (what's underneath the surface), and the nervous-system level (why your body and mind aren't cooperating even when you want them to) when you're dealing with work-related stress or work anxiety.
I work within clear professional boundaries. I'm not your therapist if you need clinical psychiatric care, and I'll always tell you honestly if something is outside my scope. Referrals when needed, without drama.
Coaching
Practical, forward-focused support for real-world decisions and change
Clinical Hypnotherapy
Evidence-informed work with the nervous system at a deeper level
Psychotherapy-Informed Practice
Understanding emotional patterns, not just surface-level symptoms
My Values
Why I Work With Burnout in Women — and Why I Work This Way
I do this work because I believe women deserve support for work stress that actually accounts for the reality of their lives — not a sanitised version of what stress is supposed to look like, or a solution designed for someone with unlimited time, energy, and emotional bandwidth.
Felt Safety First
I want every woman who comes into my world to feel genuinely safer inside herself — not told to feel better, not fixed, but actually steadier.
Clarity Over Cleverness
I'd rather give you one clear, usable thing than seven impressive frameworks you'll never open again. Complicated is not the same as effective.
Compassion Without Coddling
Warmth and directness are not opposites. You can be cared for and also be spoken to honestly. That's what I aim for, every time.
Small Steps, Real Progress
Sustainable change looks quiet. It looks like one survivable step at a time, taken steadily, without burning yourself out trying to transform overnight.
"She gets it. She's not going to patronise me. She sounds solid. I would feel safe with her."
— That's what I want you to think when you leave this page.
If you're here, something brought you. That's usually worth paying attention to. You don't need to have it figured out before you reach out. In fact, most of the women I work with don't. They just know they're tired of managing alone — and they're ready for something that actually fits their real life.

One Last Thing — For High-Functioning Women Running on Empty
If work stress, burnout, or stress and anxiety have been piling up, you don't need to be at rock bottom to deserve support. You don't need to justify your exhaustion or prove your overwhelm. You just need to be a woman who's carrying a lot and wondering whether there's a calmer, clearer, more sustainable way to live inside your own life.
There is. That's what we work on together.
